So far with Photoshop 7 it has not crashed. At first I could do an entire photo in RAW now I can't do a 72 pi photo that's 1x2 inches without crashing PS. There's no way to contact these people except to post a question. I have CS4, Vista 32 and 3g's of RAM and per the instructions on their freaking website I have uninstalled the old version to get the new one to work right. It crashes now on every photo no matter how small.

I'm wondering if there is anymore such thing as a Memory fragmentation issue? Tonight I did a system re-boot after installing a 2GB flash Ready Boost and was amazed that my PSPX2 did NOT crash, but I'll know more tomorrow.

I can sometimes edit three images before the crash occurs. It has not yet crashed during the plugin, but always some time after I hit the OK button. Then I tried Elements 5, and for some reason, that seemed more stable, but then, it too would crash!

I got frustrated that my Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate was crashing too often after using TA, so I started using Elements 6 instead, only same thing. I am getting crashes too with Topaz Adjust 3.09. You can have version 2.6 AND version 3 installed we will need version 3 to keep on testing. Whatever happen now, please do not uninstall Version 3 to keep on testing. I like the new interface but the frequent crashes will send me back to the previous version. I'm not the only one? I use CS3 with XP SP2 and I've now been apologized to for the "inconvenience" way too many times.

I have Paint Shop Pro X2 and after usage of Tapaz 3 my PC crashes frequently - same as during the beta. Despite mine being a new installation there was indeed a newer driver, and so far, it seems to have cured both my Topaz and brush resizing problems.

It would seem that the position with graphics drivers is highly dynamic at the moment, because of the GPU requirements of CS4. so it could be only related to the drivers. can you check if you're using the infamous OpenGl setting? This time I have gone with an ATI HD4800 1Gb, and have what I thought was the latest driver, but it is still a tiny bit flakey, (lag when changing brush sizes). This is a new system prompted by problems with CS4 and my old nVidia 7600GS.

I can well believe the video driver could be the culprit. I use Paint Shop Pro Ultimate and have the same issues as you all. It's a constant save file, shut down CS4, restart CS4, Simplify merry-go-round. CS4 just cannot handle large files (Nikon D300 NEF) with Simplify, though. I'm running CS4 extended with only 2 gig of RAM on XP Pro and have not experienced a " system" crash. Give that a try and let us know if that helps. Sometimes it would crash right away and sometimes it would crash a short time after I had hit OK and continued with editing. Same setup as you except I'm running Vista.
